This month we travel to southern part of Croatia, to Dalmatian
region and in more precise to Dubrovnik - Neretva County. This southernmost
county of Croatia is popular among tourists and its 123.00 habitants are living
mainly from tourism, fishing and agriculture. The pearl of the county is its
capital Dubrovnik, but there are many other interesting places to visit as well.
The county consists of beautiful coastline, islands and the real heart of the
county is colorful Adriatic Sea which is visible almost everywhere.
For me this county is special place – although it can
be touristy, it still has unique character and the people are so friendly. Not
to forget about amazing fresh seafood, local wine as well as its beautiful islands.
And the place is also full of history and you can see it everywhere. As a traveler
I especially like the availability of local home accommodation. Many locals
have been building bigger houses than they would need by themselves and they
are renting the rooms or separate small apartments to travelers. This gives you
good opportunity to see how locals are living. As a photographer this county
provides you countless number of opportunities – from beautiful landscapes, to
interesting architecture. And especially blue moments here are something special...
