KOH MUK AND HAT CHAO MAI NATIONAL PARK

After visiting crowded but stunning landscapes of Phi Phi and Ao Nang, it was time to move a bit less crowded areas. The first stop was made on the island of Koh Muk which is located in one of the many National Parks - Hat Chao Mai National Park. The island is not located far away from main land of Thailand and it’s quite easy to travel to. However there are only few accommodation possibilities available in the island and also availability of electricity can be limited, so taking your flash light with you isn’t a bad idea!

Best thing in this island is its authentic atmosphere. Although the locals in island – about 2000 habitants - are making their living mainly from fishing and tourist industry, you need to walk just couple of hundred meters away from the main beach and the hotel and it’s easy to see more authentic Thailand. The main tourist attraction in island is Emerald Cave, but if you want to avoid the crowds, I would recommend you to spend your day for something else..

If you keep your eyes open, you can spot more locals in the dark..
