After visiting Koh Muk it was time to continue to
still less crowded areas of Andaman Sea – to island of Koh Rok in Mu Koh Lanta
National Park. Koh Rok is located in the deep sea area of Andaman Sea, 2 hours
ride by long tail boat from Koh Muk, but it’s definitely worth the travel! It’s
a small island and there aren’t any permanent habitants living in the island –
only few rangers are spending their nights here in addition to few tourists
camping here and few more visiting here for a daytrip.
Camping two nights in this beautiful island was the
highlight of my trip to Thailand. Imagine spending your evening in the beach
with your friends and enjoying the full moon and guitar played by rangers.
Imagine going snorkeling to beautiful coral reefs directly from the beach which
is located less than 10 meters from your tent. Imagine fishing with locals and
eating the catch of the day (theirs not mine) as your dinner. Imagine hiking
around the island and enjoying the beautiful views in top of the hill. And
imagine seeing one of the most beautiful sunsets you have ever seen in your
life..
