THEME OF NOVEMBER: TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY IN BANGKOK

This month we travel to Bangkok, the bustling capital of Thailand. My initial feeling when I first arrived to Bangkok was that it is way too much for me and all felt overwhelming. With over 8 million inhabitant tropical Bangkok first feels just way too busy, too polluted and too chaotic. But give it a chance and it will surprise you.

Before (or after) exploring more peaceful and scenery parts of Thailand, give yourself couple of days to enjoy the life of Bangkok. Here you can find amazing historical temples with plenty of silent corners if you need to take a moment to yourself before heading back to hectic city streets. Here you can also find lot of shopping possibilities in all kind of shopping malls, streets or huge weekend markets. And my favorite part of Bangkok – amazing street food! So if you don’t feel like going for shopping or sightseeing in temples you can just spend couple of days by wandering in streets and tasting different kind of food. But small word of warning: when you have explored the plenty of wonderful and cheap street Thai food in Bangkok and you will move to other parts of the country, you will notice fast that it’s hard to reach the same price-quality level elsewhere.

I visited above Siam shopping mall one day after I have spent long day sightseeing and walking in the city. I soon noticed that I was already too tired for shopping, so I decided to visit the local movie theatre instead. It’s not the cheapest way to spend your time in Bangkok, but after walking several kilometers in tropical metropolis, if was nice to relax in cool theater. Just don’t get too comfy in your seat before the movie starts as you need to stand up to honor the local King. Not the most normal trailer I have experienced in movie theatre, but definitely one of the most memorable!
