TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY IN BANGKOK: WAT ARUN - TEMPLE OF DAWN

View to Wat Arun - Temple of dawn - in Bangkok

View from my lunch table

After visiting Wat Pho it was time for lunch. While I enjoyed my lunch in a restaurant next to the river, I suddenly realized that view from my table was having something familiar – the temple which I saw opposite the river was the same one that was pictured in my 10 baht coin! After my lunch break I decided I want to check it closer. From the same pier which was acting as the closest express boat stop of Wat Pho, I was able to catch another boat which was crossing the river and transporting people to Wat Arun. This time I didn’t pay the entrance fee to the main temple as the climbing up looked and felt like mission impossible during the afternoon heat, but there was still lot to see in the area free of charge. Next time I will go to visit river front during sunset as after my trip I have seen some stunning photos from Wat Arun and sunset.
