We used Miami Beach as our base while exploring
Florida, but I would recommend that you would stay somewhere else in Florida than
Miami. Miami wasn’t able to impress me. The things which I liked in Miami most
were morning runs in the beach (jet lag can be also good thing, as I am not
normally early bird…) and Miami Heat. That’s it. Otherwise I found Miami just touristy,
noisy and expensive compared to other places we saw in Florida. But if you like
to party, then Miami Beach might be just perfect get away for you!

If you are having the possibility to enjoy the NBA
games during your stay, just do it! While we stayed in Miami we were still able
to enjoy also LeBron James wearing Miami Heat and both two
games which we saw during our stay were really nice experiences. And small hint:
if you go to watch the game in American Airlines Arena and you are not staying
downtown Miami, I would recommend that you save your nerves and go to enjoy dinner
or couple of drinks after the game nearby. During the dinner, traffic and rush
will ease and it’s easier to be able to navigate yourself out from downtown
area – whatever mode of transportation you are using.
